The 2022 Hertfordshire Burger Eating Contest
That’s right, after a two-year break, the Hertfordshire Burger Eating Contest returns here at The Fox and Duck on Saturday, August 20th at 3pm. We’re looking for Hertfordshire’s hungriest and most competitive eaters to join us in raising funds for the Rooprai Spinal Trust while doing battle against our FOUR-POUND Foxy Burger.
Competitors will attempt to eat a 4lb-burger, plus bun and salad, in the fastest time. The winner will be crowned Hertfordshire’s Burger Eating Champion and earn a £100 voucher to be used here at The Fox and Duck…probably once they’ve got their appetite back.
Entry to the contest costs £30, with proceeds going to the Rooprai Spinal Trust, a Royston-based charity that raises money and awareness for people affected by spinal injuries, run by the incredible Marrianne Rooprai and her partner Andy Uttridge.
As well as the burger-eating contest, we’ll also have a bouncy castle and soft play area throughout the day on The Green, and a raffle featuring some fantastic prizes, with all proceeds going towards our final fundraising total.
